Toni Michele Braxton (born October 7, 1967) is an American R&B singer songwriter, pianist, musician, record producer, celebrity, television personality, and philanthropist. Braxton has won six Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, and nine Billboard Music Awards. Throughout time, she’s sold over 66 million records world-wide creating herself as an R&B star. Braxton was among the best selling female artist of the 1990s, garnering her honorific names including the “Queen of R&B”.

She continued that run with her second studio album, “Secrets”, which spawned the number one hits “You’re Makin’ Me High” and “Unbreak My Heart” in 1996. Braxton was involved in the 7th season of the reality show “Dancing with the Stars”. Her professional associate was Alec Mazo. She was voted off in week five of the contest. It had been declared on October 6, 2010 that Braxton had once again filed for bankruptcy and was reporting someplace between $1–$50 million in debts. Braxton was afterwards cleared of her debt. A reality series entitled “Braxton Family Values”, starring Toni and her sisters, debuted April 12, 2011 on WE tv.
